Labor congratulates Frances Adamson on her appointment as the new Secretary of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade.
Ms Adamson is one of Australia's most accomplished diplomats, and has served governments of all stripes with distinction.
She has been our Ambassador to China, and has advised Prime Ministers and Ministers.
