Coalition Walks Away from Company Tax Cuts

15 March 2012

Tony Abbott doesnt just plan to block tax cuts for Australian businesses, hes now also walking away from his 2010 election pledge to reduce company tax by 1.5 percent.
Yesterday, Mr Abbott refused to recommit to delivering a 1.5 percent company tax reduction.
This is another example of Mr Abbott negativity, even saying no to his own election commitment.
Its clear that the Opposition is determined not to support Australian business, including opposing our tax cuts for companies including small business.
Yet despite walking away from his own tax cut pledge, Tony Abbott remains committed to a Rolls Royce paid parental leave plan that will be funded by a tax on the nations top businesses.
It just doesnt make sense.
Opposition to a company tax cut is yet another example of Tony Abbotts economic recklessness.
Tony Abbott cant fund his policies, cant explain what $70 billion in cuts to services they intend to make and cant deliver what hes promised.
The ball is firmly in Tony Abbotts court.
