Jakarta terror attack

25 May 2017

Labor condemns the murder of three policemen in a terrorist attack in Jakarta.
Five civilians and another five police officers were also injured in the attack on a Jakarta bus terminal.
Coming just days after the horrific attack in Manchester, and in the lead up to Ramadan, this is yet another criminal assault that highlights terror respects no religion, race or country.
As we did following the Manchester attack, Labor stands once more with all people of goodwill, of all faiths who utterly reject those who would seek to divide us through terror and violence.
Labor expresses our condolences to the Indonesia people, and our deepest sympathies with all those who have lost loved ones or suffered as a result of this attack.
