Labor is greatly relieved to see Dr Kylie Moore-Gilbert freed from detention in Iran.

She and her family have shown extraordinary resilience over the past two years.

We have always rejected the charges under which she was held and continue to do so.

Labor is thankful for the work of dedicated officials to bring Dr Moore-Gilbert home to Australia.

We note Dr Moore-Gilbert’s request for privacy during the challenging adjustment period she now faces.

We wish her continued strength as she recovers, and we hope she is able to draw comfort from the family, friends and colleagues who have advocated tirelessly on her behalf.
