The National Party has confirmed it has no intention of delivering 450 gigalitres of environmental water back to the Murray-Darling Basin, in alarming news for South Australians.
During a vote at the Partys Federal Council, Nationals Victorian deputy leader passed a motion opposing the section of the Murray-Darling Basin Plan, which requires the additional 450 gigalitres of water be recovered.
Federal Water Minister David Littleproud appears to have no authority to override his own National Party.
