Opposition To Keep $70 Billion Budget Cuts A Secret

09 March 2012

Tony Abbott has today confirmed that the Opposition will keep secret their planned $70 billion in cuts to services, until after the next election.
In a 30-minute speech billed as a major economic address, Mr Abbott offered no new policies, no costings to fund his pledges and no explanation of how he would manage the economy.
All he offered Australians was an audit, more slogans and the same old negativity.
Despite Shadow Treasurer, Joe Hockey, promising just two days ago that the Oppositions $70 billion in budget cuts would be made public before the election, Mr Abbott today told Australians that theyll have to elect him into office first.
Its quite amazing that Mr Abbott thinks he can coast into government without telling Australians how hell manage the budget.
Mr Abbott needs to come clean about where these cuts will come from Health? Education? Skills? Disabilities?
Todays announcement is just further evidence of an Opposition that doesnt take managing the economy seriously.
