Susan Doyle Reappointed to the Future Fund Board

Deputy Prime Minister and Treasurer, Wayne Swan, and Minister for Finance and Deregulation, Senator Penny Wong, today announced the reappointment of Susan Doyle to the Future Fund Board of Guardians for a further period of two years.
Ms Doyle has served on the Future Fund Board of Guardians since April 2006.
As Chair of the Boards Audit Committee, she has played an important role in ensuring the Fund maintains high standards of accountability and compliance.
Ms Doyle has extensive experience in the funds management industry. She was Chair of the Australian Reward Investment Alliance (ARIA) from 2003 to 2009 and has worked with Commonwealth Funds Management, Suncorp Insurance and Finance and the Insurance Australia Group.
The Future Fund was established in 2006 to help the Government meet the costs of public sector superannuation liabilities in the future. The Board currently manages $95 billion of financial assets in both the Future Fund and the Nation-building Funds.
The Future Fund has averaged returns of 5.4 per cent a year, and achieved a return of 12.8 per cent in 2012.
